Walking back from dinner this evening, we saw a small brown bird walking through the grass and picking at the ground. I ran to get my camera, and got a few photos before it walked into the brush. It appears to be a bobwhite quail, and it's apparently pretty rare around here. I've never seen one in person, and was surprised for sure.
