Valentin

In 1846, Johann Braun opened City Brewery. Four years later, Valentin Blatz opened his brewery next door. In 1852, the two companies were merged after Braun passed away. By 1960, Blatz had been bought out by Pabst, the sale voided, and Pabst picked up the pieces left when Blatz closed. The beer is still available today, but the business is long gone, these buildings the only reminder of a once-great complex.
