100 years ago today in a farm field near Beloit, Arthur Warner took flight in his Curtiss biplane, the first flight in the state. The plane in today's photo hangs from the ceiling in the main terminal at Mitchell International Airport, and serves as a reminder of the times when wings were made of wood, wire, and cloth.
