Germania Building

Built in 1896 by George Braumder, the Germania Building on Wells Street originally housed a German language publishing business and newspaper. The building was designed by Schnetzky & Liebert, and is currently an office building. The copper-covered domes on the corners of the building resemble German war helmets, nicknamed Kaiser helmets. The building is on the National Register of Historic Places.
