The Boys of Summer have a little less than 12 days before they start playing baseball. The real boys (and girls) playing baseball are practicing and waiting for the weather to warm up. Some of them will get to play at Helfaer Field, a little league stadium in the shadow of its big brother Miller Park. The folks that run Helfaer put on a good show, with announcers, a lighted scoreboard, and all the amenities that make the kids feel like they're somewhere special - and they are.
