Last night, we went to the Tree Lighting at Red Arrow Park, and the Holiday Lights Kick-off at Pere Marquette Park. We arrived at the tree lighting just as the lights came on, and the crowd dispersed soon afterward. Grabbed a hot chocolate at Starbucks, and walked over to the other side of the river for the second act. Fear No Ice, an ice-carving duo, kept people entertained while the crowd there collected quickly. Music and dance groups performed, our extremeties grew numb, and eventually, we got the payoff. Santa showed up, kicked off the lighting of the displays, and the fireworks show was great.
