Carrying traffic between downtown and the Menomonee River valley, the Sixth Street Viaduct is the area's first cable-stay style bridge. Spanning over a half-mile, there are two movable sections for boat access; one on the Menomonee River, and one on the South Menomonee River Canal. Both functional and visually appealing, the bridge has been open since 2002, and is expected to last for 75 years.
