Lakeshore State Park

Wisconsin's newest state park is Lakeshore State Park, located just off the Maier Festival Grounds. A large man-made peninsula protects a marina offering overnight mooring (by reservation). A multi-use trail is planned to connect to the Hank Aaron Trail and the Oak Leaf Trail, creating a path for hikers from the lakefront to the Mississippi River on the west side of the state. While amenities are currently limited, plans call for a visitor center with public restrooms and showers for overnight boaters.
