Fried Cheese Curds

If it's fried, you can find it at the fair. These batter-dipped, deep-fried cheddar curds are from the stand just outside the dairy building (that's the "Cream Puff building" for those of us who aren't old enough to remember when it used to have more than just the cream puffs and other vendors it has today). Served with a side of ranch dressing, the melted cheese and crunchy batter is delicious, even if it is a potential health hazard. :)

The photo is perfect and I love the power of cheese but I don't know that I could eat all of that! Then again, that's what State Fairs are all about...a whole lot of everything.
